Promote policies, places and programs

Another component to creating an environment that promotes healthy eating is to promote the programs, places and policies you’ve developed.  

Communicate frequently with employees using multiple methods – use the methods that work best for communicating with employees about other important matters.  These communications can both remind employees of the opportunities to select healthy options and build the perception that consuming healthy foods is encouraged and supported by their employer. 

Don’t underestimate the power of a good message at the right time:  Signs that encourage employees to make healthy choices – placed at the point of decision – are powerful enough to influence behavior.
